Eligibility Criteria of RIMC Entrance Exam
In RIMC, 25 Cadets admitted every six months. Rashtriya Indian Military College conducts an admission process in Class VIII only.
Qualification: Candidates must be studying in Class VII or have passed class VII from a recognized school at the time of joining.
Age Limit: Candidates should not be less than 11.5 years of age or must not have attained the age of 13 on 01 (Jan) or 01 (July) of the term they join.

RIMC Entrance Exam is divided into three phases
Phase 1– Written Examination: The written examination consists of three subjects: English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. English is of 125 Marks, Mathematics is of 200 Marks and General Knowledge is of 75 marks. Maths and General knowledge Papers may be answered either in Hindi or in English. A candidate must obtain minimum of 50% marks in each subject to qualify.
Phase 2– Viva Voce: After the written examination shortlisted candidates are called for Viva Voce. Viva Voce is a Latin phrase. Its an oral examination consists of 50 marks, which is designed to analyze the intelligence, personality and confidence of the candidate. A candidate must obtain minimum of 50% marks to qualify.
Phase 3– Medical Examination: After qualified the Viva Voce candidates are called for the medical examination at the selected Military Hospital. Medical Examination of the Candidate is the part of the selection. The Candidates who found Medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC.
