1.  Private Sector   

In private sector there are lot of companies which are giving opportunities to freshers who have done their diploma in engineering such as Tata Motors, Bombay Dyeing, Suzuki, HCL, Infosys, Siemens, NTPC, DCL Electrical Ltd., Raymonds, Voltas and many more.

Depending on your branch and companies requirement you will get the position of Service Engineer, Product Developer, Analyst, Junior Engineer, Executive and more such positions.

Product Developer:

Generally the Job Description and work of a product development engineer is to oversee the conception and design of a manufactured goods. Professionals with this job title work in a variety of fields, creating products like shampoos, engine transmissions, medical devices, electrical circuits and computer hardware.

Service Engineer:

The service engineer job description is to service the various machinery used in large industries. They are also known as field service engineers or even maintenance engineers. They analyze and service equipment machinery that is worn out. Machinery is made of iron or other such particles.


In this segment the candidate look after and analyze the system and its configuration , such as Network analyst, System analyst.

Junior Engineer

A Junior Engineer works under the direct command and management of an Engineer. A  Junior Engineer is responsible for checking and testing of certain meters if work is involved in an industrial plantation.

2. Higher Studies such as B.Tech

For taking admission in B.Tech, you must shoulf have done at least 3 years diploma and then you are eligible to get admission in B.Tech engineering. . 

Some colleges take admission through lateral entry exams like Joint Entrance Examination of Lateral Entry (JELET), Diploma to Degree Entrance Competitive exam, etc. so you need to appear and crack these exams.

Some colleges conducted their own entrance exam for getting entry. 

This is not an uneasy task to get admission in some good college, as you will get lot of opportunities and options from colleges. But the challenging task is to get a college which provides you a healthy environment. Because if you will get a good environment, a good culture than the chances for your growth increases.


It is a degree level examination in engineering, recognized by all State Governments, Central Govt., AICTE, UPSC etc as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. 

That means, those who pass AMIE examination will get equal opportunities for job as well as higher education in both Govt. and private sectors, just like a B.E or B.Tech holder.

The Institution of Engineers (India), the largest multidisciplinary body of engineers in the country is the authority that prepares syllabus, conducts examination and issue certificates etc. of AMIE.

It has two sections which have to cover. Section A comprises of 4 subjects and Section B comprises of 9 subjects +Lab. And you will get maximum 6 years of time to clear the exam.

3.  Government Jobs

According to a survey conducted by RMS Consulting Group, in the year 2016 around 70% of the people wants to go with Government job, that is a pretty good number.
