SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided the eligibility criteria for the aspirants of Junior Engineer recruitment. The SSC JE eligibility criteria has been announced with the official notification on October 20. The eligibility criteria highlights the conditions such as Nationality, Age Limit and Educational Qualification which all the aspirants will have to fulfil in order to apply online for SSC JE 2018. Applicants have to ensure they fulfil each of the conditions specified by the commission before they fill the online application form. According to the eligibility conditions as announced by SSC for the previous recruitment process of JE, applicants should be within the age group 18-32 years as per their choice of post, posses a degree/diploma in Engineering. The applicants should be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 to settle in India or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India. SSC will not accept the applications of those who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria of SSC JE. Educational Qualification

The applicants willing to participate in the recruitment of SSC JE 2018 need to posses certain academic qualifications. The required educational qualification has been decided according to the various posts that has been announced by the commission. Junior Engineer (Electrical) Date of Quality Assurance NavalDiploma in Electrical Engineering from any recognised University/Institution; and Two years experience in respective fields i.e.- Either of the field quality assurance / quality control / production / manufacturing and testing of switch gears, cables, converters, light and light fittings, motors, generators, drives and control systems, airfield lighting equipment, Electronics / Radar / Radio / Telecommunication equipment, 7 electro hydraulic system, programmable logic controller based systems, printed circuit boards / instrumentation, software development and validation, network control system etc. including knowledge of various standard and their interpretation.

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Any applicants who belongs to the categories (b), (c) and (d) should have a certificate of eligibility issued in his or her favor by Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018 – Application Process

The SSC JE application form 2018 has been released by the commission on October 20 and the last date to submit the application form is November 17. The application process of SSC JE 2018 is online and applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted by examination authority.
